After upgrading to High Sierra and updating NEXIS client to most recent version we're getting this error message:
"Failed to retrieve director list with error: Unable to complete operation. Internal error."
During installation we got a File Vault warning but nothing that prevented the installation from completing and the Client software launches well.
This was not an issue on four other Mac in our studio that were all upgraded to High Sierra and to the most recent version of NEXIS client.
Any suggestions and/or ideas?
MacOS High Sierra is not supported with NEXIS. You will need to roll back to Sierra.

I just tried to upgrade to 10.13.x today and am getting the same error as mentioned above.
Failed to retrieve director list with error: Unable to complete operation. Internal error.
But I found this on the Avid Knoledge Base
http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Compatibility/macOS-10-13-High-Sierra?retURL=%2Fpkb%2Farticles%2Fen_US%2Fcompatibility%2FMacOS-Sierra-and-Avid-NEXIS&popup=true
that says 10.13.x is now supported. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jay
What version of the client are you using? As long as the ISIS is running 7.5 of later you should be using the NEXIS 18.5 that is available on the Avid Download Center.
ISIS system software doesn't go above 4.7.11 thourgh. But according to this chart it shold work.

What version of the ISIS hardware do you have? For the 7x00/5x00/2x00 the latest version of the ISIS software is 4.7.11. You will need to use the NEXIS client to use High Sierra.
Yes, I'm running an ISIS 5500 with v4.7.11 installed. The client is a MacMini running OSX v10.13.2 and I've tried installing Nexis 2018.5 and I'm getting the error
It sounds like the ISIS Client uninstaller wasn't run prior to installing the NEXIS client. Try running the NEXIS uninstaller and install the client again.
Hi,
Ran into the same issue on two Mac's here. Finally found that the software had been blocked under Apple menu > System Preferences, Security & Privacy, General. Clicked on allow and now it's working.

Yeah, I had checked that and still had issues. I finally wiped the drive, installed 10.11.6, and then MC, Nexis client, and dongle drivers and got it all working under 10.11.x. Then upgraded to 10.12.6, made sure everythign worked. Then upgraded to 10.13.5 and it was all working. I did this because all they systems I'm about to upgrade are all on 10.11.x.
This is what worked for me. Thatnk you.
