    Codecs for archival footage

I'm working on Mac 10.10.5, Avid 8.6 and I'm working on a project that uses 2048 x 1152  footage so the project is set to that.  Our archival footage ranges from 480 - 1080.

When I transcode the archival footage, the codec options are all DNxHR codecs when keeping source dimensions and source frame rate.

Is it ok to use a DNxHR codec for low res footage like 480?  The link here says that DNxHR is for resolution above 1080:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Avid_DNxHD_resolutions

But I'm keeping the source dimension (480).

What's the disadvantage to using DNxHR for low res footage?  If it is wrong, what should I do instead?  If it's ok, which kind of DNxHR should I use?  LB, SQ, HQ, HQX?

    Thanks for the help.
