Does Squeeze Standard entry in "apps" list mean I own it?

I'm not clear whether or not I "own" the "standard" version of Sorenson Squeeze, or if I only own the "lite" version.  It says that you get the standard version when you purchase a "production pack bundle," but even though I currently have a yearly subscription, I've purchased a number of "production packs" in the past, so I'm honestly not sure what products I currently own at this point.  The "apps" section of the Avid app manager shows download links for Squeeze Lite 10, Squeeze Pro 10 (TRIAL), and Squeeze Standard 10.  It doesn't say "Trial" next to the standard version, so does this mean that I own it?

Before I take the time to download and install it, can anyone tell me if the presense of Squeeze Standard 10 in my apps list implies that I own it?

    Thanks,

    Larry

Re: Does Squeeze Standard entry in "apps" list mean I own it?

Any info on this?  I'd really rather not install the standard version only to have it end up being a "trial" version that I have to uninstall.  My past experience has taught me that when it comes to encoders, strange situations can result from changes that aren't undone by the uninstall process.  This has been particularly true with previous versions of Squeeze, so I'd just like to confirm whether or not I "own" the standard version before proceding.  It's frustrating that this isn't more clear in the Avid App Manager, but I'm hoping that others here may have some information on this.

    Thanks again,

    Larry

Perpetual license MC - Squeeze trial only

Subscription license MC - Squeeze Lite (it's yours to use as long as you're a subscriber to the best of my knowledge)

Neither of those license options has do with an annual contract which entitles you to get free upgrades to MC for the duration of the contract.

App Man shows things you can download but not necessarily own.  So, if you're looking at the page that shows two or three versions of Squeeze remember you don't get more than one version of Squeeze "automatically" with MC in any case.

You can upgrade Squeeze (through Sorenson) if you already have a qualifying version, buy it from Sorenson or get it in the Avid Production Pack.

I own a Squeeze license (you really don't own the software, you only have a license to use it or not as the case may be) for version 6 and version 8.1 based on previous Avid Production Pack purchases.  That won't show up in the App Man.  If you have a version of Squeeze already and want to use it, go ahead but it won't appear in App Man.  You just need your serial and a license key.

    Thanks for the feedback.

It struck me that the "Pro" version said "trial," but the standard and lite versions did not.  It sounds like the "standard" version is, as you say, "downloadable" even if you don't yet "own" it.

They should make clear distinctions in the app manager showing which products you can actually download and use with no further payment, and which are essentially just "advertisements" that you need to download and "buy."  At the moment, they're mixed together with no indication of which are owned or free to use.

    Thanks again,

    L

Here's something I don't remember looking at in previous App Man versions but I've just confirmed that in the new 2.5.9, the explanations for each of the three Squeeze versions are there when you click "More Info" under each of them.

I've attached a screenshot for reference.
