Re: After Effects Plugins in FX

There's 2 plugin folders in the Avid FX installation folder.  I forget which one they go in, but your best way of finding out is to experiment.  Put them in one folder, then launch Avid FX.  If they don't show up, put them in the other one.

Keep in mind that not all After Effects plugins are compatible in Avid FX.  For clarification on which ones are and aren't, go here:  http://www.borisfx.com/products/effects.php

    Take care.

Re: After Effects Plugins in FX

I am trying to install Digital Film Tools Composite suite an approved filter set.

The readme says to put install into:

    c:\Program Files\Avid FX\AvidFXPLugins\

There was no folder with that name so I made one, install into it but no new plugins.

    I also tried:

    c:\Program Files\Avid FX\

However, no plugins. Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    tex

Re: After Effects Plugins in FX

You must copy or install your plugins in the following directory in order to work properly:

c:\Program Files\Avid FX\BorisPlugins\ (If you installed FX as a standalone application without studio)

    -or-

c:\Program Files\Avid\Avid FX\BorisPlugins\ (If you installed FX as a part of Xpress Studio)

I have installed sapphire, color finesse, Ultimate AdvantEdge, etc. and everything is ok.

If you dont find that folder, create one with that name in the correct directory.
