How do I get the "Clipboard Contents" action in the Source monitor back?
The clipboard monitor is an interesting additional function, but it breaks the ability to copy from one place, extract something in the target destination to get it out of the way, and paste.
Currently using the workaround of alt-ctrl-C, but it's just that, a workaround. The old system worked fine, I don't know why it's been removed.

Yep - I'm left bemused - instead of being able to call up clipboard contents on the fast menu in the source window you now have to open a separate window. Why? WTFK's - if that's a workflow enhancement then someone at Avid needs to actually edit for a living.

Can we go back to the way audio nodes used to be selected? Please? ie if you have audio nodes at the same time on selected tracks; then selecting 1 audio node selects them all at that time. Having to shift select nodes or add an in and out is time consuming and counter productive. At least make it an option.
You can assign the Clipboard Contents button to the Preview Monitor bar (if it isn't there already), then it is one click away. The limitation here is that you only get the last thing that was copied to the clipboard.
Yeah but why break something that wasn't broken..
I put this one up there with having to multiple select audio keyframes acoss tracks. Used to be if you had the tracks selected you click on one keyframe you select them all at that timecode. Now you have to set an in and out or tediously control select individual audio keyframes. Its a pain in the a$$ and Avid have never fixed it or given an option to revert to the old behaviour.
Oh, don't get me started on that Audio Keyframe debacle. Talk about removing functionality and efficiency from editing. ....
AVID this is a joke. A very large network show has just switched to 8.5, and you can't load CLIPBOARD CONTENTS and there's no LOAD FILLER.
WTF?
Mr TV EditorLos Angeles, California
Right click on Source window for both.
Keith
Toby:there's no LOAD FILLER.
Toby:CLIPBOARD CONTENTS
This is terrible. So to confirm, there is no load clipboard contents into either monitor direct function?
Additionally, I use the Segment Mode (red arrow) to lasso clips, copy them and then paste later in the sequence, this function is no longer available?
Why were these changes made?
Thanks,
