Avid FX/Boris Red/Boris FX - pivot points don't display in correct place.

I'm using Boris Red, but this question applies to Avid FX and Boris FX as well.

When I move the pivot point for rotating a plane, the point that's displayed doesn't display anywhere near the point that is actually used for the pivot.  I can't figure out the relationship between the point that's displayed and the actual anchor point that's used for the pivot.  Am I just missing something here?  I've seen another mention or two of this, but so far I haven't found any explanation to what I'm seeing, or any way to actually be able to "place" the pivot where I want it without a lot of time consuming trial and error.

Thanks for any help with this,
