    Apple 2012 Mac Pro 3.33 Ghz 6-Core

    Hello,

    I'm at a point (again) where I need to update my Mac. I'm running MC 8.x software only. I don't need or want to spend the money for a new machine. THinking about this one:Apple 2012 Mac Pro 3.33 Ghz 6-Core. ANyone have any experience with this machine running software only? Thanks,

    I'm running MC V8 software only on an older MacPro and it works ok. That said our newer iMacs are way faster at transcoding etc. If you don't need the I/O would a newer iMac work out better?

    Thanks Pat! Do you have any experience with Imac? There seems to be some used late model IMacs (2013) on the market that fit into my budget. I guess the only I/O I need is connecting external hard drives, card readers and tape decks for capture. I assume Imac is capable of all of this?
