Well that was 12 days ago and I had no success getting Titler Pro re-installed on my W10/MC8.4 system but somehow I wasn't able to get that message across to Titler Blue help ,no re-installing Windows 7 so no longer an issue, end of story. ..

Good call. Have done so.
I have a variety of sound devices (AudioBox, Blackmagic card, onboard Realtek, an old Audigy). Have tried disabling all of them in device manager in various combinations, didn't help.
update 3:
i had another try tonight, starting with a new fresh clone ssd of my win7pro sp1.
deactivated mc 8.4, uninstalled mc and application manager.
disabled super anti spyware and initiated the upgrade to win 10.
everything went well.
i then installed the app manager, then mc from within that program.
quick run through of most apps seems o.k.
qt 7.7.7 was installed as well, and runing nvidia 353.62.
à suivre...
the time you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted time...

Keith R.
Are you saying you didnt hear from Newblue?
Ok so I had a weird disaster with Windows earlier today where the whole font subsystem crapped its pants - my taskbar looked like this and my fonts folder was looking a bit empty.
A system restore fixed it - then it broke again. Initially I thought it was a dodgy Windows update, but I think it might actually be Avid FX and its associated Visual C++ redistributable, which I reinstalled after the system restore and caused it all to break once more (after a restart).
So if you don't need Avid FX, don't install it, just in case that's what's causing it.
Hello Marianna , first I did read your well informed warning not to load Windows 10, it was too easy to download - Just press the Microsoft welcome to W10 button July 29 -too easy..
It has been a nightmare getting rid of it, I now have Windows 7 /ser pack one re installed and now have to start all over again installing MC.8.4 Squeeze 10,etc etc...
re:- Titler Pro we played ping-pong for a week, I kept saying my original Titler Pro Key won't work now with W10 and they kept coming back "it should try again" eventually I said forget it, or something like that, (depending on the time of night) once I get up and running again hopefully it will load/activate again, it's a secret don't tell anyone, I'm thinking of upgrading to version 4 there's a discount offer looks pretty attractive maybe.
So now I have to de-activate/ re-activate Avid re install everything and start again just because curiosity got the better of me and that friendly looking Microsoft "Welcome download now"didn't help..
I ran the BETA'S and figured the release would be fixed, it isn't, in my humble opinion ..
The moral of this sad saga is listen to Marianna and save yourself all the hassle ...
Keith R....
Bummer and sorry you had this happen... been there myself which is why I am such a stickler for posting that kind of notice. Let me know if you need any help with the deactivation etc.... sometimes it can be finicky.
Have a good weekend....
(confirming)
Thank you Marianna, back on Windows 7, hopefully Titler Pro /Quick Time etc will now be back to normal and happy days again...
It was an interesting experiment all that remains hopefully is how to switch off that Microsoft pop up inviting W10 to download...!
I will wait for Avid Certification , as others have pointed out MC.8.4 seemed to run snappier under W10 if and when the other issues are fixed maybe another story..
(ps) We'll wait on your next post on the subject next time ..!!
Hi Keith,
You can switch off the Windows 10 reminder quite easily. Control Panel>Programs and Features>updates Remove KB file labeled KB 3035583. Restart the computer, and when you check for updates, and it comes up, right click and choose "Hide Update". You can always look at the hidden updates at a later time when you are ready to update and install it to get to your windows 10 update.
Hope this helps.
Denny
All I had to do was to invoke the Titler registration screen, re-enter my lic num and all was good. (Ended up having to re-activate / re-reg about a half dozen apps / utilities, but no other execution problems with any of them, including some fairly ancient ones (i.e. DPLex Pro v2.08....).

I wonder if your latest update (initially "pushed" on 12 Aug) got corrupted.
My Avid FX (64-bit) v6.4.0.372 seems to be working just fine, both from the desktop and with a quick application of an effect in an MC test project. Is it possible that a manual re-run of Windows Update will fix things up?
hello Denny
Thanks for that for anyone else info KB 3035583 is the download and again thanks for the pointer...
