Contour Design makes two products that may be the type of thing you are seeking:
ShuttlePRO v2
ShuttleXpress
DFW Hokie:ShuttlePRO v2
AndrewAction: DFW Hokie:ShuttlePRO v2Does it still work with MC? I have not had either of my mine here (on PC's) work since MC 6
Three answers:
1. Did you download the Media Composer 7 settings from the Contour Design website?
2. I can't imagine why the Contour Design Shuttle would not work with a newer version of Media Composer. It's essentially just a keyboard substitute (even the jog/shuttle wheel). You might have to manually "point" at the Media Composer *.exe file, however, to get the settings to load up with the Media Composer launch. (Downloading the settings I mention above should take care of all this, but even without a settings file from the factory, a custom settings profile can be created for any program that uses keyboard shortcuts.)
3. I'm still on Media Composer v6.
Thanks, The Shuttle Pros did not work for me with MC 6 or 6.5 so I moved to Artist Color. Only really get 9 keys (and 9 Shift keys) to program there per menu.
I made a custom setting profile on my Shuttle Pro and it works fine on MC 6.05.

Mike
I use a Corsair K90 "gaming" keyboard with 18 dedicated shortcut keys.

typically I map functions to the "ALT" layer keybaord in Avid, and then map the ALT combinations to the K90 keys.
