What shortcuts are most editors using to select their audio/video tracks?

I personally, on my  macbook, have the number keys 1-0 mapped to audio tracks 1-10.  I have Shift+1-0 mapped to video tracks 1-10.  I find this a great system for quickly selecting tracks, but from listening to tutorials, I can tell a lot of editors don't do this.  How are others selecting thir tracks?  With shortcuts?  If so, which ones?

Ctrl A to select all, Shift Ctrl A to deselect all.

I use the same shortcuts as you do for the tracks, although I only go to 7 tracks nice I rarely use more than that.

    \ is V1

    ] is A1

    [ is A2

    p is V2

    = is A3

    - is A4

    0 is A5

    9 is A6

    ' is V3

    ; is V4

Basically you can tell that I have all the most common tracks bunched together around the ENTER key.  I can V1/V2/A1-A4 all with one stroke motion.

Wow, that's really interesting, tfg!  Is this your design or did you pick it up from somewhere?

My own design.  The result of too many years of being impatient ;) It's also extra whacked because I routinely switch between a right-handed track ball and a left handed pen tablet (both hooked up simultaniously).  I have a few duplicates on my setup to allow easy switching betwee those devices, allowing me equal stress on both wrists... again, a necessity I had to do because I had bad carple tunnel ;)
