Check your privacy and security settings on the mac. Allow any apps to be installed then try again. Worked for me.

Re: Media Composer v7.0.3 - NOW AVAILABLE (incl. Mavericks support)!

So I just got my new iMac for Christmas.  I went to go download MC 7.0.3 from the avid website and I ran into a few problems.  First I couldn't open view my products or download and activate but the downloader page worked.  I downloaded 7.0.3 and now it's telling me that my Mac doesn't recognize the Disk Image.  What should I do?

    Work: Windows 10 Intel i7 5960x, 64gb Ram, GTX 1080, Home: Windows 10 Intel i7 5960x, 32gb Ram, GTX Titan X Mobile: Razer Blade 16 - Intel i7 6700... [view my complete system specs]

Well, I would just recommend to download the installer file again. Or could you check if the MD5 checksum of your downloaded file is the same like the one from the website? MD5 Checksum: 43faeb56c498a4b7660e7226672b9a9c

Here another experience with the 7.0.3 on Mavericks 10.9.1:

I downloaded and installed but when running the application, there where some processes not responding (when looking at in the activity monitor tool). For example the AvidBinIndexer and the Quicktime_OPServer. When using the Avid backround services there was also the TranscodeServiceWorker sometimes not responding. The transcoding process finished successfully and also the avid itself seemed to work (just playback and small editing tests) but I felt quite uncomfortable with several processes always not responding in the backround. So I switched back to Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and there none of the problems ocurred. I´m not sure if the MC 7.0.3 version is only allowed for 10.9. and so the 10.9.1 could have been the problem but as I read in this thread that there are problems with aja I/O and the maverick, there are even more reasons for me not to upgrade to maverick at the moment.

    Our system:

Mavericks brought a lot of improvements and tweaks in the performance department. Does it make a difference with MC? I'm on 10.8.4/MC7.0.2 right now and am considering the update if it's worth it.

Re: Media Composer v7.0.3 - NOW AVAILABLE (incl. Mavericks support)!

I've been held up with this update, because I've not yet been able to uninstall 7.0.2, which gives me the chance to ask this question:

Can any of you early adopters who use multiple displays (I use three) confirm that the new 7.0.3 update and the Mavericks 10.9.1 update work well with multiple displays?

    Thanks very much,

    Malcolm

I did a complete clean install on the OS before installing 7.0.3.  Everything working as should including dual monitors.

I just wanted to upgrade my MC7 to 7.03 and I cant find the upgrade possibility since I have a MC Academic running. Now I have Mavericks installed and urgently need the MC running again - can you please assist me how to upgrade?
The academic webpage http://www.avid.com/us/support/upgrade-academic-free only offers 7.0 ....

Thanks a lot in advance and have a great new year`s!

Running 10.8.4 I did an uninstall of MC 7.02 on MacPro.

Upgraded OS to 10.9.1 and downloaded and installed 7.03 and now I get the following prompt:

There was an error initialising the licensing engine. If you have migrated data from a different machine please delete the folder: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Licenses

    Suggestions for resolution?

I read on another thread that MC 7.0.3 is totally supported by for Mountain Lion.  On the other hand, if you have Mavericks, then the only fully supported version of MC is 7.0.3.

I think is was this thread

Re: Media Composer v7.0.3 - NOW AVAILABLE (incl. Mavericks support)!

I'm upgrading academic to 7.0.3 (from 5.5.1) just now.  I had to telephone support to find the right page on the website. You should be able to find this page under Support / Professional Services and Training /Academic.  You need to type in your infomation, then if you are eligible you get a reply with activation code, and a link to download upgrade.  In my case I was upgraded to 7.0 and download link led to a non-existing page!

But I found the correct page by going to My Account, then to a Download link at the bottom right of the page.  You need to be signed in of course and registered.  There, you find the download for 7.0.3.  So now the download has just completed, and I will cross my fingers that the activation key (supposedly meant for a 7.0 which no longer exists) will function with this new MC.

Response at Support was quick. 978-275-2476

    Good luck.

Is there already a Avid Codecs LE download that supports Mavericks?
