32fps in Avid Media Composer 7

    Hi,

I'am currently editing a videoclip that has been shot on Red 3K at a framerate of 32. My goal is to keep my 32frames in Avid Media Composer. I tried multiple options: First I imported the clips using Ama and kept my 32frames in a 25fps project, but I need to timewarp the images and I cant add the timewarp effect on my Ama clips. So I tried to transcode my Ama files but it automaticly change my frame rate to the project frame rate: so 32fps becomes 25fps. I converted my R3D files with RedcineX to QT DNX 185 and kept my 32frames. When I tried to import the DNXclips MC changes all my frame rates to 25fps. Is there a way to import 32fps footage into an 25fps project?
I would be very happy if someone could help me.
    Thx

    MC doesn't support 32fps.

So if you want to work in MC you will have to frame rate convert.

Insert the clip into the sequence and use the "erase" effect. MC will play back images by setting the project (25) - in your case slow motion.

The sequence can consolidate / transcode and get native codec in MC.

You can insert a timewarp effect and set you need.
