Anyone having issues with Qt refs or quicktime DnxHD files (Avod Codecs 2.3.9) showing black screens in Mocha AE after import?
Mocha support thinks it's Avid Codecs 2.3.9?
After the same issue but on Mac side of Avid I was forced to transcode export clips to Prores.
I've also had this problem under Win 7.
I posted this very same question on a recent, live webinar (by Imagineer systems) on Mocha AE, and they didn't know.
Given that Quicktime player ,VLC, Sorenson Squeeze, After Effects, Premiere etc will all play my QT DNX files, I think their support needs to explain why Mocha cannot successfully decode them, rather than blaming the Avid codecs,
I've had to resort to exporting using the animation codec.

I agree. Mocha worked with Avid codecs 2.37 (all clips I have that were with 2.37 work), but after 2.38 DnxHD stop working. Mocha does need to fix this since DNxHD (2.39 codecs) works with all Adobe products, VLC and others.
I miss being able to export a QT reference file for Mocha to track instead of exporting a full file that takes up more space on my video drives. I'm glad I wasn't the only one having this problem.
Yeah, Micha support just wrote me back:
Here is the message that has just been posted:***************This appears to be an ongoing issue with any Avid codec above 2.3.7. We have the problem logged, but have as yet been unable to build a solution. The only workaround at present is to install the 2.3.7 codecs or convert the output to a different format. We apologise for this, as obviously this takes time and is not ideal. We will continue to investigate the issue.***************
One year later, and still black in Mocha AE for dnxhd. Unfortunate.
Yes. Chatted with them. It is unfortunately a low priority as there are workarounds. I generally just make an animation codec copy to send to Mocha.
