    De-Authorize before upgrade to Win 8?

    Quick consensus before I create a snafu - I have Win 7 with Avid MC 7, should be a no-brainer, but I'll ask anyways - should I deauthorize MC7 first before the upgrade fron WIN 7 to Win 8?

    Found my answer in the documentation. De-activate it is.

    When in doubt, de-activate.  It is much easier to re-activate than calling customer service to de-activate and re-activate for you.

    Also if it's not too late, think long and hard before you downgrade to W8.

    Yes, I chose the right verb there.  I definitely wouldn't describe going from W7 to W8 as an upgrade.

    It's all good. I'm sticking with Win 7 for along while.. I have too many AE plugins that ren't Win 8 compatible yet; no use handicapping myself.
