Matrox MX02 Mini - Monitor not displaying through HDMI - Input timing wrong

I recently updated from Media Composer 5.5 to 6.5 and updated to the latest (fully supported) drivers for my Matrox MX02 Mini with Max.

I can calibrate the monitor, but when I boot up AVID, my monitor (A Dell 19" computer display with an HDMI input) displays this error Message:

"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1600x900@60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications."

This monitor was working fine before when I was using the older verison of AVID and the older driver. Is there a setting that I'm missing?

I'm currently displaying at 720p 59.94 fps RGB Native out of the Matrox (but I've tried other resolutions and they don't work either). This was the only setting that worked for calibration. I've tried other settings without calibration in AVID though and they didn't work.

    Help!?

Are you using Matrox Drivers 7.1.0.1294? I wouldn't use 7.3.0.1822; although 7.3.0.1822 may work, they were optimized for Telestream. Matrox Drivers 7.1.0.1294 were optimized for both Premiere CS6  and Avid 6.5.

Threads like these are almost impossible to answer when not knowing the system specs and driver numbers, adding those to the user profile before asking is always a good start.

It does however seem as that external monitor not supports 1080 x 1920

Re: Matrox MX02 Mini - Monitor not displaying through HDMI - Input timing wrong

I had my system specs in the wrong field.  Do they show up now?

I think I figured out that it was because I was using a computer monitor that it wasn't working.  I tried HDMI into a portable LCD screen and it seemed to work...

Also I was using the drive suggested above.  Not the latest "Beta" one.

System specs are visible now, actually similar to my old work horse.

My guess for that previous screen to be to small seems to be correct, doesn´t matter if it is a computer screen or not, it needs to support 1920 x 1080 for the Matrox unit to work well.

Yeah it is a smaller screen ...  Thats likely the problem.
