Re: ISISClientManager, mount workspace through terminal?

Does anyone know if it's possible to retrieve a list of workspaces on the Isis prior to mounting?

There's no man page for this, and the usage guide doesn't mention it:

    Usage: /sbin/mount_AvidUnityISIS [options] <servername>:<workspacename> <mount point>

        Mounts an avidfs filesystem

    General options:

-o options  : standard mount options

-m mode     : maximum access modes (octal) allowed to filesystem

    Root user options:

-U name     : avidfs server user name to use [required]

-u user     : Unix user (uid or name) granted owner access to filesystem

-g group    : Unix group (gid or name) granted group access to filesystem

Ideally, I'd like to pull a list of workspaces, then have a script pick one from the list and mount it.

    Thanks for the tip!

Re: ISISClientManager, mount workspace through terminal?

I've been hunting for something like this since Unity MediaNet version 4.0. Sad to say, exporting a list of workspace to a txt file and have bash cycle through it is easier than dynamically fetch list of mountable volume. - Unless Avid will help us ofcourse Smile

Oh yeah, good luck with that. Unless one of the DS guys can jump in and work on the documentation and features for this utility. ;) Too soon? =)

Re: ISISClientManager, mount workspace through terminal?

Quick Update: The /sbin/mount_AvidUnityISIS is gone (no longer available) in NEXIS.

    It's is now here.

    /usr/local/bin/mount_avid
