Is it still necessary to use the Keyspan/Rosetta stone setup for deck control rather than the 422 on the Kona? I've been having trouble with batch capture and I wonder if that's the culprit. The errors are mostly "...failed to fin coincidence point..." on tapes that we know have unbroken timecode/control track.
Only digitised a few clips but seems to work OK here.
Using MC 6.0.3.2/SRW 5000 deck.
Have you tried with and/or without ref. ?
I've only tired it with proper ref, via the AJA 422 port.
I had some connectivity issues with the 9 pin on the Kona LHi break-out box trying to control a XD deck. Luckily the HP Z820 still has one serial port. It does require a 232-422 convertor like the Rosetta.
So what you're saying is, you switched from the AJA 422 port to your PC's serial port and it fixed the problem?
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I've been using the computer serial port with a Rosetta adapter to master to a XDHD-1500 deck and a legacy BetaSX. The only catch is that the first time I bring up the Digital Cut module, I have select Adjust Deck and click OK to initialize control.
