Media composer crashes when deleting a master clip

I run the Avid Media composer 6

I got an issue with deleting a master clip. Every time i try to delete it the media composer crashes and i have to start it again. When i try to delete another file it crashes again. It used to work just fine but now it wont let me delete the clips...

    Anyone got any tips?

Robert ... welcome to the Avid forums.  For this and future assistance we need to know your system in detail.  You can add it to your bio to make it a permanent part of all your posts.  Click on your name in the upper rght corner.  Choose "Edit My Profile".  Click on the "Profile Options" tab.  Fill in "System Specs" area.  See mine below as an exampe.

When you highlight a clip in the bin, you're presented with a dialog.  You can delete just the Master Clip in the Bin, just the physical media file on the media drive, or both.  Which are you choosing?

Where are the media files stored?  What type of drive, and how attached?
