Computer crashed during import....pleeease help me get the clips back!

    Hi folks,

I've scoured the internet for some help with this, but no luck thus far. Here are the details:

I'm operating Avid Xpress Pro 5.7.5 on Mac 10.4.11/ tiger/1.8 ghz processor

My computer crashed while I was importing some massive quicktimes.

I rebooted and can see the files in my Avid mediafiles folder (MXF/1), but there are no corresponding master clips in my bin.

I tried mediatool, but it doesn't show the missing master clips either.

Is there AAAAANY way that I can get those master clips back/relink to the existing mxf files or something WITHOUT having to re-import? I'm literally looking at about 15 hours of work I'd have to redo.

any suggestions would make my week!

At the very least, trash your msm files in your MXF folders and relaunch the software to rebuild your database files. Hopefully that's all you'll need for media tool to recognize the clips in the MXF folder.
