I have noticed that multicam is somehow slower with 6.0.1 than what it was by 5.5.3.2.
It might not be an MXO2 issue after all and only.
I don't know. I too wait for good news about the hardware I/O for the BM Intensity Pro.

There is also a go-slow with BMDesign drivers that need to be fixed.
Radman.
But are we sure the problem is at Avid's end?
MC 6.0.1 works much better than 6.0 with an MXO2 (non Mini), in multicam too, the GUI is more responsive than MC 5.x, but I still get the gang mode not updating one of the monitors issue that nobody else seems to be experiencing around here :(.
peace luca
Hi Luca, the gang error have been there for quite a while, I have told about it on another place
edited .. doing some tests, now on my Mac, this is also without any Matrox unit connected and the behaviour is the same as when trying to play not realtime unrendered effects so if you " play " by holding the arrow keys down on the keyboard it seems to play in sync.

I spent quite a lot of time on the Matrox stand at the
BVE trade show in London today explaining to one of the
matrox guys about the issues with their drivers and the fact
that they need to get involved on these forums, answering
questions and updating us on new drivers etc. We'll see what
happens...
I hope something happens but I would not hold my breath. I went to the MC-6 roadshow in Hollywood several weeks ago And all the third party vendors were giving demo's of their products. The Matrox rep couldn"t even get his system to boot up, he was running around with a phone in his ear & trying to get the Avid guys to help him. When I left 2.5 hours later there still was no demo & this was one of the main reasons I drove 60 miles one way in LA traffic to attend.
Regards
Mike
Look at the bright side Mike. You were at Hollywood.
I would love to come to Hollywood even for a broken MXO2.
Saylur: I went to the MC-6 roadshow in Hollywood several weeks ago
Mike, as time rushes away this was nearly 3 months ago that you told this and also right after the first version was released, updates might have been done during those months and Matrox reps might have also been taught how to use those devices.

I have done a lot of demo's in my career. I would make sure my equipment worked before I got to the site & I would still arrive early enough to get my system up & running. I'm sorry but there are no excuses when you have a very important demo. I will say again every other vendors systems worked.
So Matrox has released a new beta driver for PC users and MC 6 today. Has anybody tried it yet? What are the results? I'm hopeful you guys are all cutting away at full speed now and don't have time to come back and report with all the work you're getting done. Then, that same good news will come to we Mac users in the following days...? Too good to hope for?
Here's the link, if you haven't seen it yet:

Chris
I just tried it. Definitely better, but still sluggish compared to MC5.5. Scrubbing is jerky. There's a half second delay when trimming. Same stuff as before but doesn't feel quite as bad.
I think for the first time ever I'm going to roll back to an earlier Avid version. Hello again, MC5.5.
Yeah, I think I'm going to have to also...
Can everyone that's testing the matrox 6.0.1 drivers please
report your experiences in this forum:

I just did a quick test adding fades and scrubbing though the time line using 1080i it looks like a big improvement to me with the 6.01.74 driver thumbs up
