Online 29.97 SD footage to 23.98 HD HELP!!!

Here is the issue I'm having.

We're shooting on HDCAM tapes at 23.98, using the Sony J-H3 deck we're doing pull-down to SD at a frame rate of 29.97. This is being run into a Mojo then through Avid Xpress Pro. Now my project is set at 23.98 but the footage is still 29.97. The issue I'm having is now parts of the original footage are required for VFX pulls. Having sent the lab ciips and time code from my bin, these are in fact, incorrect as they are a different frame rate than the tapes.

What do I do on my end to alleviate this? Do I send a special EDL? Do I change the info in the Avid? What are my options?

I forgot to mention I'm using Avid Media Composer 5.5 for logging and syncing, once the footage comes in through Avid Xpress Pro.

Is there a Film and 24p setting in Xpress Pro? If so, it should be set to standard 2:3 pulldown. If it's not there it may be because Xpress Pro didn't do 24p projects (it's been a while since I've used Xpress Pro). If that's the case you can use the Mojo on MC 5.5 for digitizing into a 23.98p project correctly.

Must think of something clever to go here...
