BTW...on the subject of alpha exporting... ...count me among those who find exporting a fill and matte layer and combining them in Boris RED or After Effects, very easy. We gave our graphic artists these files all the time and they worked very well. Don't sweat QT w alpha, because of me.

[/quote] Yes I wonder why it defaults to effectively a useless setting. How can the RGB ever be less than 0 or more than 255.

Agree with Pat. By setting the RGB limits at 0 and 255, Avid's Safe Colour Limiter is useless in its default state. RGB limiting at 16 and 235 is the vital thing.
